After the catastrophic tragedy that befell The Philippines in the form of Typhoon Haiyan last week, the Filipino American Museum (FAM) has taken initiative to organize an artistic fundraiser that will directly benefit those affected by the misfortune. The name of the event is rooted in the Filipino term bayanihan, which signifies an ethos of communal unity and effort to achieve a particular objective.
The event will take place on Thursday, November 21, 8:00pm at the Galapagos Art Space – located in DUMBO – 16 Main St, Brooklyn, NY 11201.
Tickets are $10 a piece; all proceeds will go to the National Alliance for Filipino Concerns.
